The USGS SilvaCarbon project in Reston is interested in applications from graduate or undergraduate students to aid in processing of satellite and geospatial data, conduct statistical analysis and develop cartographic maps this summer.
The following capabilities would be helpful but are not all mandatory:
- Knowledge of GIS, remote sensing, image processing and statistical analysis.
- Familiarity and experience in using ARCGIS, Erdas Imagine, ARCView, SAS and MatLab
- Spanish is an advantage.
