The Fairfax County Dept. of Planning and Zoning is seeking an intern to assist in updating its GIS records this fall. The Planning Division is undergoing an analysis of its long-range planning process, and needs to gather, map, and analyze data on past amendments to the Comprehensive Plan. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to create and edit shapes and attribute tables in GIS, and will have excellent research and organizational skills. Additionally, the intern should be able to work at least 20 hours a week for a 12 week period beginning Sept. 13, 2010 and ending December 3, 2010. The pay rate for the internship is $ 16. 89/hour.
